The Bauer & Black Company was started in Chicago in 1893. They were one of the largest companies making medical supplies. By 1901, the opened more branches in New York and Toronto. The Bauer & Black Co. was purchased by the textile company Kendall Mills, in 1918. The BSA, Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910. For these reasons, I have dated this piece at, or around 1915 or so.
This is an "Official Fir...st Aid Kit of the Boy Scouts of America". It contains all the original contents, it looks like. However, the bottle of Mercurochrome has opened sometime this century.
The tin is in good condition. The top completely separates from the bottom, as two pieces top and bottom. The are six items inside, as shown. The mercurochrome has leaked over some of the other items and slightly on the tin itself. However, it still looks nice and clean with no rust. The top is slightly bent or dented, but it still fits just fine on the bottom.
