A really superb, and rather scarce John Macpherson of Inverness (Scottish Highlands) canvas and leather trim gun case.
In really good, used condition.
Leather corner protectors
Leather restraining straps with brass buckles and keepers (nb. one restraining strap has a repair).
Good leather handle.
Brass lock clasp (unsurprisingly no key).
Internally lined in a claret coloured baize and divided into different sections for a shotgun.
Label reads 'John Macpherson The S...porting Stores Inverness, Practical. Gun Makers, Cartridge Loaders, Fishing Tackle Makers, Taxidermists, Grams "Angler", Estabs 1867 '.
Will accommodate barrels up to 28".
External measurements: 30" x 7 4/8" x 3" (76.2 x 19 x 7.6 cms).
This is a really excellent case, certain not to disappoint.
