Do your own search for high quality antique painted portrait miniatures here on eBay and compare my starting bids!)Here we have a gorgeous French early to mid-19th century watercolor painted portrait miniature. Catherine Marceau is hand written on the fabric backing (not sure if that is the sitter or the portrait owner’s name). The painting is signed. The signature - Durandon - is faded but visible ...on the bottom right side.This exquisitely detailed gilt bronze frame measures 3 1/2 inches tall (from the decorative top piece to the bottom of the round frame) by 2 5/8 inches wide.It has a ring for wall mounting as well as an easel for table-top display. **Please be sure to read my payment and shipping terms prior to bidding. Thank you!** PLEASE NOTE: I sell antique and vintage pieces, and, as is normal, they show some signs of age and wear. That is part of their charm! Please examine all the photos, as they are considered part of the description. This portrait miniature and its frame are in excellent condition for their age. No damage to the frame and no paint loss on the portrait.This item is Estate fresh. It has not been cleaned (other than being dusted off with a dry cloth), nor has the portrait been examined out of its frame.
