Target (Dayton Hudson) sold this porcelain holiday village “ATribute to the Movie It's a Wonderful Life". The series is actually called“A Wonderful Holiday”! Made in the Philippines and China. During a (6) yearperiod of time, 1993 to 1998, a collection of (30) Village Houses wereintroduced along with a number of Figurines that are part of the official collection, but Target also sold a Go-Along set of Figurines during the same time period, which were made alongside the official collection and sold at Target. Many of theseGo-Along figurines were featured in Target advertisements in the mid-1990s. TheGo-Along figurines were cars, trucks, village people, etc. Below is myunderstanding of when village house was introduced. Dates below are the year ofintroduction. I also included the extra items introduced too. 1993 (6 original+): The Bijou Theatre, Grower Drugstore & SodaFountain, Old Granville House, Bailey Bros Building & Loan, Train Station, andThe Bedford Falls Chapel. Also, the Welcome Bedford Falls Sign.1994(3 new+): Bedford Falls Public Library, Bedford Falls Trust & Savings, and BoardingHouse. Also, the Bedford Falls ExpressTrain Set and 3-piece Red Box Chapel Set.1995: (5 new+): Martini’s Bar, Bedford Falls Garage, Police Station, High School, and Bridge Also, the Chapel3 piece set and 3-piece Train Station Set, 1996: (10 new+): Mary Hatch House, Boston Luggage Store, AndersenDept Store, Record Shop, Barber Shop, Hearth Bakery, Travel Agency, City Hall, Bedford Falls Church, and Bert the Policeman House. 1997: No new releases1998: (6 new+) Potter'sMill, Post Office, Potter's Mansion, Knickerbocken Inn, Sentinel News, and UncleBilly's House. Also, the Martini Family Move. There are many figurines associated with collection. The WonderfulHoliday figurines featured the prominent people or things which were seen inthe movie. The go-along figurines were common village items like cars, trucks, towns people and village items which filled out the City of Bedford Falls –sort like the extras in the movie. The go-along figurines were sold under acouple different labels but were manufactured in the Philippines alongside withthe other Wonderful Holiday figurines.
