Vintage West Germany Flocked Deer Fawn 5 " High Wagner ?

This is a darling deer or fawn toy from West Germany. It is hard plastic with fuzzy flocking covering. The ears and tail are fabric. It has glass or glass like eyes. There is a green collar with attached bell around the neck. There is a "button" (not steiff) that attaches a yellow, oval tag to the collar. I can read West Germany on the tag, but not the manufacturer.
This looks like a Wagner, but the tag doesn't resemble Wagner's. I am... completely stumped on who the manufacturer is.
This little cutie would be a marvelous addition to holiday or seasonal decor/scenes, as well as part of a German toy collection.
