Hamilton Beach mixer or blender from the 1930's. It is the commercial model No. 18. It is the cream version of this mixer, which has a wonderful sort of Art Deco look to it with the stainless steel head and motor on top down to the heavy duty cast iron long body that is covered with an off cream porcelain finish. It measures 18" high, 6 1/4" wide and 7 3/4" deep. and weighs 14 pounds. The blender is activated when the stainless steel cup is pushed up into the stai...nless slot or bracket which is mounted on the porcelain body up near the motor. It was made in Racine, Wisconsin and the name plate, while having some normal wear, has all the patent dates and info and even the lettering is "Art Deco." Included is 3 stainless steel cups marked Bloomfield Industries Stainless Steel, Steelex Stainless Steel, and Stainless Steel 430 on the bases of cups. I plugged it in to test it and it worked very well with the cup activating the motor. The switch controls two speeds. The blender shows some normal, age appropriate wear from it's haydays in the 1930's, but is remarkably clean looking despite this. There are some nicks and dings here and there to the porcelain, but the porcelain was so well done originally that it looks great for it's age. The head of the mixer does show surface wear to the chrome. Please see photos. When the mixer is turned over completely, the bottom is showing rust. The feet are very old and some are missing. They can easily be replaced. Really a wonderful old machine. Thanks for stopping by!
