This superb "Junior Deluxe Dragon" radio horn was made by "Amplion" (Alfred Graham & Co. of London) and dates to around the mid 1920's.The body of the horn has retained much of its' black crackle finish paintwork, but, the heavy base has lost some of its' plated finish.The lovely wooden tulip shaped bell has its original dark brown stained finish and there are no cracks or splits to the wood.All of the sections are held firmly in place by metal edging.However, there are the scuffs, ma...rks and scratches you would expect from a well used item.I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.The lettering has worn away from front plaque where the knob has been turned.I have been unable to test if the horn is working.The horn measures 38 cm (15 inches) high and 25 cm (9 3/4) across the front. Radio Horn. This superb "Junior Deluxe Dragon" radio horn was made by "Amplion" (Alfred Graham & Co. of London) and dates to around the mid 1920's.
The body of the horn has retained much of its' black crackle finish paintwork, but, the heavy base has lost some of its' plated finish.
The lovely wooden tulip shaped bell has its original dark brown stained finish and there are no cracks or splits to the wood.
All of the sections are held firmly in place by metal edging.
