One of Benjamin's most aesthetically pleasing industrial lights, aged to perfection, with beautiful patina on the solid copper mounts. These fixtures were discovered with a thick coat of paint applied at some point during their 80+ years of existence. We removed the paint and were more than pleasantly pleased when an incredible copper patina, gained over many years in an industrial setting, revealed itself. At that point we simply waxed and lightly buffed the housing. We hope you like ...the result as much as we do! These fixtures are pure and original Benjamin from top to bottom, with Benjamin-embossed globes and vintage Benjamin ceiling hangers (see photo) -- easily one of the best "flexible" fixture hangers that Benjamin ever made, with lots of pivoting capacity so the fixture will always hang straight down, even on a sloped ceiling. The copper housing also bears the Benjamin logo. These fixtures date to the 1930s, and are in outstanding working condition. The listing begins with 5 fixtures, priced per fixture. Like all of our vintage industrial lights, it was completely disassembled, cleaned, and rewired for decades more of faithful service. The globe quickly threads into and out of the copper mount for quick and easy bulb changes. The socket accepts regular household bulbs (if you choose an LED bulb, select one rated for use in an enclosed fixture -- the package will tell you). We include 3' of new wire to give you plenty of flexibility in how far the fixture hangs. You or your electrician can quickly change how far it hangs from your ceiling by swapping out the included 6"-long vintage galvanized down pipe with another 1/2" NPT cast-iron pipe (black or galvanized) available in many lengths from any hardware store (they'll even cut and thread a pipe to a custom length -- just ask). We especially like how these fixtures look with vintage-style Edison bulbs like the one shown in the photo (forgive the glare from our studio lighting, please). Buy with confidence knowing that all of our authentic vintage industrial light fixtures are:*Refurbished to the highest standards. We carefully disassemble each fixture down to the smallest screw, then refurbish each part. For example, all electrical contact surfaces are cleaned and restored, threaded surfaces are "chased" with taps and dies if necessary, and lubricants applied sparingly where needed. Worn or unsafe gaskets are replaced with new, safe gaskets. We keep the fixtures fully original, only replacing parts when corrosion or safety concerns dictate a new part, such as a new stainless steel screw in place of an old rusted one. Each fixture is rewired and ready to hang. *Restored and preserved to retain their natural and intrinsic vintage look. We don't "wring the romance" from fixtures by excessively removing all traces of patina. Instead, metal surfaces are cleaned gently but completely while preserving the natural patina gained over decades. The parts are then treated to retain the patina and prevent future corrosion as necessary. Glass is cleaned thoroughly. Porcelain surfaces are cleaned gently and thoroughly, then buffed to restore their original luster as necessary. *Tested and guaranteed to work perfectly. Before any fixture leaves our workshop it is tested to ensure it works properly. Please check our flawless feedback. *Packaged extremely well for safe arrival and shipped within 24 hours. We've shipped vintage light fixtures all over the world with zero damage incidents. That's because we use plenty of quality packing materials, and know through years of experience how to pack. Our packing practices meet or exceed the standards established by FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
