Original Description:
This listing is for a gorgeous, antique sap bucket that was found in Massachusetts. At some point along the way a talented artist painted a New England mill scene on it. The painting is very detailed, and you can even see the building reflected in the water at the bottom. I also love the weeping willow on the right side of the round painting. It is signed R.M. O'Meara.The sap bucket still has its original, metal hook that it would have been attached to the tree with to collect the sap.... The sap would have then been turned into maple syrup in a sugar house. It measures 11 1/2 inches tall and is 11 inches across the top in diameter. The bucket is in good, antique condition, and would make a great decorative piece. It would make a great bucket to store kindling wood in by a fireplace. There is one piece of wood with a wiggle, and some paint is chipping. The metal bands are present and in place, but they can move and be pulled off. From a smoke free home.
