This item is an old PUBLIC TOILET 'PENNY IN THE SLOT' ACCESS LOCK
Some of us will remember using these back in time I guess...!
The part that attaches to the rear into which the penny is collected, is missing, as is the lock key.
Whether or not it would function as intended hasn't been determined.
Made almost entirely of brass which hasn't been polished for many years.
A nice old object, offered as is.
Now looking for a new home
