Vintage Early THE FISHER Model 500 Mono Receiver Wood Cabinet

Vintage Early THE FISHER Model 500 Mono Receiver Wood Cabinet....Real nice cosmetic condition as shown..... I plugged it in and it powers up.. The Heat Shield piece is loose from the inside top(just needs re-glued or tacked )The knob that changes the channel isn't working ...it's between stations right now... I can see a broken thin black string that was on a wheel.....I believe that string needs to be fixed so the knob works to turn channel...  When I hooked it to a speaker, it j...ust made a buzz sound because it is not on a station .. I believe with that string fixed that it would work.  Just needs cleaned and gone over by someone knowledgeable(which isn't me) to be a very nice Vintage "The Fisher Model 500"....
