This glorious statement level vintage piece could be the centerpiece of your vinyl playback system with a little bit of love.
This unit powers up, but the button controlling the start/stop functions and power switch are very very stiff. The other buttons work when pressed, but don't feel as precise as they should, when compared to another example of the same tur...ntable.
Because of this, this is being sold as-is for parts or repair only. It will sometimes not continue playing when the start button is pressed (because it's stuck down long enough to engage the stop), but the platter comes up to speed quickly and locks there.
I had planned on having it refurbished and making it my main turntable for vintage and modern disc playback (that's where +/-9.9% pitch control comes in!), but another turntable has made its way into my home, necessitating the sale of this. We can't keep them all!
Please look closely at the photos, as I have attempted to show all the cosmetic flaws of this turntable. There are marks evident on the chassis, but don't detract from the overall look of the unit.
The beautifully finished custom wood base is what initially attracted me to the turntable, and I wish I knew who made it!
The tonearm is the Syntec S-220, taking a regular SME-style headshell. It comes with the 5 pin DIN to RCA cable shown. Just add your favorite headshell and cartridge! This auction also includes the turntable mat shown.
I will ship this unit with the tonearm removed from the mounting collar for safe transit, and a small allen key set is all that is required to reinstall the arm itself. Better safe than sorry!
