Kathe Kollwitz Drypoint Etching Portrait Of A Woman German Expressionism!
For sale we have a drypoint etching, inscribed on the dust cover "Portrait of aWoman." This piece is dry-stamped "A V D BECKE MUENCHEN - 22." On thedustcover, it is written that it is a re-strike. We are not experts in this field, butbased on other examples on the Internet, it appears this could be from the VonDer Becke series, from the 1940's. The etching is in good condition. It is framedwith a large l...inen matting and is in a natural wood frame. There is wearconsistent with its age. Please see the photos for details and condition. Freshlypurchased from the estate of a local museum curator and researcher.
