VINTAGE FISHER 500 - C TUBE STEREO RECEIVER W/CETRON/BENDIX 6384. BUT READ
Item History & Price
This auction is on a used Fisher 500-C vacuum tubed stereo receiver. It is in very good cosmetic condition and even has all its brass inserts on the knobs. It has been modified to run Bendix type 6384 output tubes in place of the original 7591 output tubes. It does work but as seen in the one one photo, one of the output tubes is smoked. And to be honest, the other three show lots of getter flashing use. B...ecause of this, it is being sold "As Is", for parts, repair or restoration. Personally, if I were to repair it, I would have it brought back to factory specs running original 7591 outputs. Of course the buyer is free to do as he or she pleases. Just understand that it is NOT plug-n-play ready, and I would strongly recommend it be taken to an experienced technician to be thoroughly gone over. It will be well packed and boxed for shipment, although local pick up is always acceptable and encouraged. Please look photos over carefully, as they likely show condition better than can be decribed and are considered part of description. Sold "As Is", for parts, repair or restoration. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Feel free to e-mail with any questions. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

PLEASE NOTE: Do to an increasing number of non-paying bidders and eBay's refusal to clamp down hard on them, I'm left with no choice but to require anyone with less than 20 feedbacks to contact me before bidding or those bids will be canceled. My apologies to all the honest, low feedback bidders affected, who now must take this extra step in order to bid. But eBay has made this necessary, due to their lack of meaningful disciplinary action against these deadbeats.
