For your consideration is a vintage Gullah South Carolina Sweetgrass basket and lid. Exact age and maker is unknown. However basket exhibits excellent craftmanship. Conditon is very good. All coils are in place.  Not loose or broken anywhere. Basket has an inside inset coil to prevent the lid from falling in. Lid fits nice and snug and has a very unique handle/pull.  See photograph. Basket diameter  is 8 1/8". Height is 3 1/2".
