Restored 1974 vintage Kool Lemon Yellow Schwinn Sports Tourer. The Sports Tourer was second in quality only to the Schwinn Paramount. One of the few models with Cro-Mo tube construction and fillet brazing of the joints. Serial# GJ805297.
All bearings were cleaned and re-lubed. Cables, housing and brake pads are period correct replacements. New Panasonic Panaracer 27x1 tires, tubes and Velox cloth rim tape installed. Brooks leather saddle. Weinmann aluminum 36 hole rims are true... and round. The Schwinn Approved high flange hubs and Nervar alloy cranks spin smooth. Little to no wear on the Schwinn branded Dura Ace Crane rear derailleur, 5-speed freewheel or chain. Comes with original reflectors, and the kickstand still has the plastic protector on the tip No dents or rust to the frame or fork. The seat tube and top tube measurements are 22.5 inches c-c with a stand-over height of 32.5 inches. The chrome and paint are in excellent condition with only two small pieces of the down tube Schwinn decal having flaked off. Displays and rides beautifully. Very low mileage.
