David Lance Goines USA (b. 1945) This is his 20th poster design. Lithograph in three colors; Full size posters: Edition of 250 posters, 1972. This is the first poster to be signed in the plate with the signature block.Miniature poster (This item): 23 x 17 cm. (9.25"h x 7"w). Edition size 2000. Facsimile of the full-sized poster exhibited at The Poster (gallery) from April 14 to May 31, 1973. The color separations were made by reducing the original negatives 31%... onto Kodak duplicating film, and, with occasional minor modifications, are quite faithful. In many cases, the same inks were used, and, as far as was reasonable, the paper was the text weight of the original poster stock. St.Hieronymus Press, Berkeley, 1973. Excellent condition, like new.Designs by Goines are very collectable with his original poster images being available both in large and small unsigned editions, more limited, signed series, including a very few progressive sets of the color printing process, as well as the miniature series of "small" posters (reductions) like this item. This is a 'miniature' poster, on the order of the 'Belle Epoche' poster designs which were also produced in reduced size, limited editions: the very collectible "Maitres de 'Affiche", "Le Affiches Etrangeres" and "Les Affiches Illustrees".
