You are buying a Nikon (Nippon Kogaku--Tokyo) S2 with 50mm f/2 camera (SN 6168746) in excellent condition.This includes Hoya UV (0) 40.5mm filter (which screws on and off easily), original nippon metal lens cap (not shown), and the original well worn leather case--case needs work, and Manual.The (SN 726095) Nikkor-H.C lens is clear--no scratches or abrasions (has a few specks of dust in it) the coating is like new as is the coating on the filter.The Focal Plane shutter works well at al...l speeds (1 second to 1/1000 seconds). The aperture diaphragm works as it should (f2 to f 16).The focus works smoothly and the rangefinder works as it should.This camera had one owner--E.F. Edgar an engineer for PPG.The only problem with the camera is a small ding on the top between the time settings and the red dot--see picture.
