Here’s a very nice 1972 vintage Frank Holton model T401 trumpet outfit complete with mouthpiece and original H...olton hardshell case. This horn has a silver colored finish, which is actually lacquered nickel plating. The nickel plated finish is approx. 95% intact showing scratches and general use. Overall this trumpet holds a nice shine and is presentable. Some other features include an adjustable 3rd slide ring and traditional lever style water keys. This trumpet was made in the USA by the Frank Holton Company of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Serialnumber is 511XXX indicating that it was manufactured in 1972 whenquality was top notch at the Holton plant. This trumpethas excellent smooth valves. Valve plating is intact and all three valves operate quickly and smoothly. The slides are all smooth and have just been lubricated. The valve slides all make a nice "pop" when pulled. Bell isengraved "HOLTON ELKHORN, WIS. U.S.A." and the receiver is stamped "T401". Holton medallion with logo on the tuning slide brace is nicely intact. Besides some tiny dings in the horn and a small dent in the bell bow, the horn is in great shape and very straight and solid. This horn is 100% complete and is very freeblowing with arich beautiful tone. The original black HOLTON woodshell plush-lined case is included which is in very nice used condition. The case has working latches, a double mouthpiece slot, side accessory storage area, another smaller accessory compartment, and a sturdy handle. This case is heavily padded and provides excellent protection for the horn. Marching music lyre attachment and partial bottle of Holton valve oil will come with this horn.
