Original Description:
This is a vintage black cat ashtray or incense burner with very good detailed coloring. There are holes in the nose for smoke to come out.
This is a redware piece with glossy black color. Striking accent colors of red, white, and green define the cat's eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. 
It measures a little less than 3.75" across and about 3.25" high. There are no chips or cracks!
The red color of the tongue is not so bright anymore presumably because of cigarettes resting the...re (photo 8). Photo 9 shows a small dot of brown on the backside and near the edge of one ear which I first thought was a drop of paint. Upon closer inspection, I think it's actually a factory production flaw...a small skip in the black color which is glazed over. It's not at all noticeable until you really scrutinize the piece.
