Up for auction is a vintage cardboard Jack-in-the-Box featuring one of the most likeable vintage characters of the century, Stan Laurel of the late great comical Laurel & Hardy duo. This rare box is from the 1960's and is still in excellent condition for its ag except for the top not being attached. The hard cardboard box measures approximately 4.75 inches tall by 3.75 inches. There are various pictures of the cartoon version characters from the early 1960's shown on different... sides of the box. When you lift the lid, plastic head of Stan Laurel pops up. When Stan Laurel pops up from underneath more cardboard, a squeaking sound is heard, similar to that of a dog's chew toy. Two sides of the box read "Larry Harmon's Laurel & Hardy Jack-in-the-Box." (The late Larry Harmon was famously known for the likeness/creation of the world famous clown, Bozo.) Another side of the box reads "Look for all the famous Lakeside Jack-in-the-Boxes...... * Mickey Mouse, * Gumby and * Mary Poppins."
