The Patch: This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) patch with a white back. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. SHAEF patches are very desirable and are getting harder to find. Don't lose out on your opportunity to own this great piece of World War II history.The... History: The SupremeHeadquarters, Allied Expeditionary Forces was organized in April of 1943. General Eisenhower was designated the SupremeCommander on February 12th, 1944 and SHAEF was activated the nextday. The mission was to enter thecontinent of Europe and undertake operations aimed at the heart of Germany and thedestruction of her armed forces. SHAEFwas in charge of Operation Overlord, the Normandyinvasions that took place on June 6, 1944. By the time of the German surrender, SHAEF controlled 3 Army Groups, 8Armies, and 90 Divisions. SHAEFcontrolled troops from the United States, England, France, Canada, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Belgiumand the Netherlands. SHAEF was inactivated on July 14, 1945 andits personnel were merged with the Headquarters, European Theater ofOperations.Please read my auction requirements. The Shipping: Shipping will be $0.80 for buyers in the United States. I will combine shipping if you wait for my invoice. I Ship World Wide. Shipping will be $1.80 for all orders that are less than $50.00 in total value. All orders that total more than $50.00 must be sent via Registered Mail. This costs $13.00 and includes tracking and insurance.
