This item is a first press mono album released on January 20, 1964 on Capitol Records by The Beatles entitled ‘Meet The Beatles’. Record label and number is Capitol Records T 2047. This first pressing has no BMI or ASCAP credits on the record labels. It is speculated that about 20, 000 mono copies were released in 1964 and then soon corrected on the next pressings to list BMI and ASCAP credits. Record itself is in G condition with man...y light hairline marks (too many to count) however record plays through fine with no skips and is still a nice listen.When played flaws were 3 pops at the beginning of 'I Saw Her Standing There', some surface noise on 'Til There Was You' and some light surface noise between some of the songs but overall. played pretty decent. Mono record labels are in great condition with just some very light wear. Record was professionaly cleaned on a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine (see photos). Matrix numbers are:SIDE 1 - T 1 - 2047 - FISIDE 2 - T 2 - 2047 - G2 Record cover is in VG+ condition with just some light wear and is in overall nice condition and has a number 3 by the RIAA logo on the back of the cover (see photos). Album comes complete with its original dark blue Capitol Records paper inner sleeve. See photos for song listings. These mono first pressings are extremely hard to find in any condition and is a great addition to your Beatles collection.
