Here's a crude early hinge mold B.Fosgates Anodyne Cordial applied lip medicine bottle from the 1860s with its rare original label ......bottle just missed being pontiled! B.FOSGATES ANODYNE CORDIAL (boldly emb vertical on front of bottle) Full original label on back reads in part....CHOLERA PREVENTIVE Table of Ages, with their Appropriate Doses....etc.etc....Hand blown in mold, bimal....early smooth base with 1/2 circle hinge mold seam.....applied square ring lip...aqua...round......4 3/4"tall....Excellent shiny attic mint condition with no chips or damage. A shiny clean bottle with no haze. Label only has one small corner missing. This is a very hard Civil War period bottle to find with the original label...
