PAIR OF ANTIQUE/VINTAGE MINIATURE PORTRAIT PAINTINGS IN ORNATE LOOKING GOLD FRAMES. Straight out of Pride and Prejudice are two small antique/vintage portrait prints - lady and man - in lightweight, synthetic/plastic(?) ornate looking - gold colored frames. I have no idea about the age of the paintings or the frames - and know very little about miniature portrait paintings except what I’ve read from a little on-line research. Each frame measures approximately 6” high by 5-1/2” wi...de - the oval portrait area measures approximately 2-3/4” high by 2-1/4” wide and can easily be replaced with family portraits if desired. The glass in each frame is oval and a little convex - no chips or breaks. I took the portraits apart to look for a signature - his has written on the reverse “Portrait by Ase Duval” - hers has no signature or markings. I believe the paintings are on paper. Each frame is stamped with the number 260 but I could not find a makers mark. Condition is Pre-Owned and Used. Shipping with USPS First Class Package. Sorry, no International shipping.
