This auction is for a rare classic 1940's vintage fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in the original case, marked on the pen barrel: W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. - FORT MADISON, IOWA - U.S.A. - MADE IN U.S.A. - marked on the nib: SHEAFFER'S - REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. - MADE IN U.S.A. - 14K - 0100736 - marked on the pencil barrel: W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. - FORT MADISON, IOWA - U.S.A. - MADE IN U.S.A. - SA - and marked on the caps lips: SHEAFFER'S - MADE IN U.S.A. - This set has gold filled c...aps with white dots and stubby clips, the pencil has a full size spare lead under the eraser, the pen has a touchdown filling system and Triumph 14K gold nib. This set is fully functional and overall in near excellent condition appearing just lightly used and showing a tiny dimple on the end of the pen cap. The box is in very good+ condition with light storage wear. Please zoom in on all pictures for details.
