Original Description:
Up for auction is a vintage Globe canning jar.  This has a handle with a working closure and a glass lid.  This is aqua in color.  The lid states: Patent May 25th 1886.  The bottom of the jar has a large #5 on the bottom.  These are the approx. measurements: 8.25" tall with the lid, 7.50" without lid,   the mouth is 2.50" in diameter.  This jar holds 4 cups of liquid.  This does have bubble in the lid and the jar.  This is in good condition ...however the lid has a chip and a flea bite. There is no rubber seal but I believe these can be purchased.  This is an original piece that is over 100 years old.  I am no expert, if you have questions please email me.  This is a great item for the collector.  Thanks for L@@KING!
