Rare Vintage Glass Milk Bottle Embossed One Quart Liquid "5 cents Deposit" "Raleigh", NC
Do you collect old milk bottles? This old milk bottle is a rare find. It's embossed "5 cents Deposit" on two sides of the neck. One side of the body reads "5 cent Deposit One Quart Liquid" "Raleigh 5 cent Deposit". The other side of the bottle reads "5 cent Deposit" "152 Sealed". Near the bottom edge is a small "A". The bottom is marked with a large embo...ssed "5 cent". The "cent" written formerly is actually the symbol for "cent". The glass has a faint pinkish smokey tint. The bottle measures 9.5" tall and approximately 3-7/8" in diameter across the bottom and 2-1/4" across the mouth. There are 12 vertical embossed lines around the bottle's neck.The bottle has scuff marks and one area has some brown marked scratched into the glass. I have not tried to remove these marks.
