Original Description:
VINTAGE STANLEY No.2 SMOOTH BOTTOM WOODWORKING PLANE . Damage includes one minute corner chip on lever cap ( otherwise cap is very nice) and two tote issues being horn broken, removed, smoothed over ( with chip out of top) and the tote was cracked and subsequently repaired. The front knob has several checks at the bottom put is still very solid ( see pictures). The inside plane bed has surface rust and maintains very little japanning ( see photos). Blade and cap iron in good shape as i...s the sole and wings. No body or metal component cracks and really no heavy scratching to speak of.All surfaces ( except for inside plane bed are smooth to the touch with the expected staining with no visible pitting. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail with no international shipping.
