Offered is an original Rosko Nomura battery operated (2 D cells) Astronaut w/ box in blue from Japan generally in very good condition. The toy has a lighted helmet and walks. The right arm holding the walkie-talkie rises and it (the walkie-talkie) lights up and makes a buzzing noise. The helmet lights up as well. You can see it in operation at this link: https://youtu.be/2krCoxLP4UY . The toy stands about 13" tall. The astronaut is in nice condition... with no signs of corrosion on the outside or in the two battery compartments. There are minor signs of wear to the paint in places but all told it looks nice. The main condition issues are the three or so stress cracks in the front of the clear plastic helmet and the tab, on the back which is supposed to be screwed down, is cracked off.
The box is in fair condition with multiple tears on the top and bottom side panels which have been carefully glued. The bottom panel is incomplete. However the front panel is generally in very good condition. The graphics are still bright.
