You are bidding on an AwardBox for the WWII Republic of the Philippines, Defense of the Philippines Medal. The box is used and is in good condition withsome signs of storage ware that includes indentions, edge scuffs. The box comes with a WWII Defense of the Philippines Ribbon Bar and Lapel Pin that are in good condition. Both the ribbon bar andlapel pin have their original eraser style clutch back fasteners. The inside lid bears theEl Oro manufacturer information and is dated 19...75. ThePhilippine Defense Medal was created on 8 December 1944 and was issued initiallyas a ribbon. A full-sized medal was later authorized and added in July, 1945. ThePhilippine Defense Medal is awarded to any service member, of either thePhilippine military or an allied armed force, which participated in the defenseof the Philippine Islands between December 8, 1941 and June 15, 1942.
