Up for sale we have a Vtg 1950-51 The Martin Alto Saxophone SAX & Original Case Elkhart Indiana 174***. Condition is Used. In beautiful vintage condition , I believe it to retain the original lacquer finish . No dings or dents, this Instrument was well maintained over its life , however a negative is there’s some pitting/wear to the keys as seen in photographs . The body is quite clean worth some similar lighter pitting on back side of body . Original case and guarantee paper work as... well with matching serial number to the instrument . As well as matching serial number for body and neck . Original matting mouth piece as well . The case does have that old smell to it , it’s not pungent but it is noticeable . Was kept in a dry climate . It’s should play well I would think , all the keys seem free and well Moving . I do not know how to play the saxophone so I’m not sure how it sounds . excellent craftsman’s ship on this vintage instrument . I will Provide additional photos as requested . See photo 12 there is a slight bend to the key bar .
