Christmas Carol Cottages is a Set of 3 issued in1986 and retired in 1995 and is comprised of "Fezziwig's Warehouse", "Scrooge & Marley Counting House" and "The Cottage of Bob Cratchit & Tiny Tim". MINT condition from a private collector and displayed twice then stored in climate control. All pieces have original light cord and working bulb and are in original boxes which are in excellent condition. Fezziwig's Warehouse is a 2 story building with a dormer window i...n the attic and is of red brick design with a green roof. The ground floor has middle entry door with 2 rectangle shape pane windows on each side. The second story has a white stucco façade with red brick and 3 pane windows centered in the stucco with Christmas garland hung above them. There is a large sign between the two levels that reads "M. Fezziwig Warehouse".In the story, A Christmas Carol, Fezziwig was a young Scrooge's employer and on one day a year, Christmas Eve, Fezziwig gave a party for his staff and their families in the warehouse. I also have the 3 piece accessory "Fezziwig and Friends" #59285 that I can list for sale if you are interested!! The second building is Scrooge and Marley Counting House in which Scrooge and his departed partner, Jacob Marley, in the story, A Christmas Carol, had their office. A Counting House keeps the books and business transactions for various customer accounts. One would go here to borrow money or repay a loan. It is a 2 story building with stucco on the second story that has 2 windows with shutters while the ground level is red brick with a green door and bay window on one side and 2 double pane windows on the other. There is snow on the green roof!!! This is the first of two pieces with this name and it was reissued in 2000. The last piece and perhaps the most significant of Dickens himself, is The Cottage of Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim, as many scholars believe that Dickens modeled his version of this home after his own childhood home on Bayham Street in Camden Town!! The thatched roof is a 2 level design with a chimney. A sign reads "Bob Cratchit" and "Tiny Tim" under it. This is typical of a family cottage in Dickens era.
