VINTAGE FOLK ART NATIVITY DIORAMAFabulous hand crafted church woven of straw with highly detailed woven Nativity figures creating a religious diorama within and all around the perimeter of the church / cathedral including an angel by the front door, a donkey, more animals (cows?) on one side, a detailed pottery horse around back, a hand crafted miniature pottery Acoma wedding vase on the "ground" next to woven straw 3 Wise Men on the other side. Inside the chur...ch is baby Jesus in a manger with Mary and Joseph standing to one side. The manger has "rays" of straw above it topped with yellow dried flowers. The manger is decorated with red flowers and Mary's long veil is decorated with green flowers.The church / cathedral is a real work of art! There is an open front door and two long windows on each side so you can peek in at the Holy Family. There are two tall towers on each side of the church front with multiple levels of windows. There is a straw bell with a string bell pull hanging inside the top of each tower. The towers are decorated with red and green dried flowers. The front facade of the church raises to a higher peak than the roof and has a cross at the top. Hanging below the cross is a vintage 3"D green sisal wreath that is snow flocked and studded with vintage mercury glass beads and a red bow at top. The straw figures are a true work of art, especially the very tightly basket woven 3.5"H Angel and the adorable 4"L donkey.Crafted upon a 12.5 x 8.5" hand woven straw mat base.
