Antique 1920s C. F. Martin and Company, Nazareth, PA. Style 3K KOA Soprano 17 Fret Ukulele**BEST OFFERS ARE WELCOMED**It is my opinion that this is in great condition for its age. There is a line near the bridge, between bridge and tail inlay, it looks like a crack but it does not seem to go through. It is along the grain. And other KOA ukes this old have similar "lines" in the grain that resemble CRACKS but are most likely signs of aging. There is no flex if pressure is applied in the... area, and absolutely no vibration. I believe it is cosmetic.
The instrument has other minor cosmetic flaws from age and use. But is otherwise, clean, pure and sound. The period of 1920s is estimated based on research and fret board markings and inlays. As Martin did not keep records. It will be sent as I found it. Due to it's age and value, I thought it would be best to let the new owner do the honors of cleaning, polishing, and stringing. The case shown is not original. It will be packed securely and double boxed for safety.
