SCHUCO EXAMICO 4001, Germany U. S - Zone Tin Toy Wind - Up Car Box 1950s EXC
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:14817801 | Year: 1950 |
You are bidding on an old Schuco Examico 4001 tin car. It is clockwork operated and made in U.S-Zone Germany (Schuco) in the early 1950s. The car measures 5.5" long (14 cm) and is in excellent condition. The light blue body shows only minor age related wear (a couple of very light scratches on the edges) and has one tiny ding on the hood (can be from the manufacturing process). The black base is like new. The wind-up operated motor works perfectly and all the act...ions are in full working condition: The car moves forward smoothly with working 4 speed, reverse and neutral gearbox, clutch on the side, steering wheel and a handbrake. Both instruction sheets (in english and swedish) show lot of wear. No missing parts. No key. Rare color.
PLEASE NOTE, the car comes with the prewar version of the box and the instructions, not the later U.S-Zone versions which belongs to the car. The box shows lot of wear and has only two end flaps left.
Please view the pictures for condition.
