Up for auction is a vintage folded stampless letter and cover combination that was addressed to Charles William Martin, Philadelphia. Cover is postmarked Eatontown, New Jersey. Cover has manuscript postal markings. Letter is datelined Dial (?) 8 mo 18th 1846, which is the Quaker style of dating. Letter is of a personal and what's going on around here nature, signed by what looks like Rodman. Paper has foldline staining.... ......paper has edge/corner wear,... age staining and has yellowed/toned from time... $2.25 covers shipping in the USA.
