1950's Convair B-36 "Peacemaker" Bomber by Yonezawa of Japan. This friction powered Japanese lithographed tin airplane has a wingspan that measures about 26" or 66 cm in length. It is about 19" or 48 cm in length. They called this bomber the "Peacemaker" because it never had to be used to drop a bomb. The friction mechanism works well and spins ALL six tin propellers. This is a huge plane and a huge toy. It is the largest Japanese tin plane of this era. &n...bsp;The red tail rubber bumper is intact. The small red rubber darts that stuck out of each jet engine are broken off and only partially intact. Usually, these rubber pieces are long gone. The rear tail landing gear is a replacement that looks similar to the original. I suspect that the original owner took it off to make it more authentic looking. Everything else is intact and all original. There is a small rub mark on the underside of the right side tail wing. As with any toy of this size, there will be small scratches and imperfections. This one has no dents and has seen very little play wear. I've had about 10 of these B-36 airplanes over the years. This is the second best one that I've had. It's only the second one that I've had in its original box. Except for the replaced tail wheel, it is complete, all original and in very good to excellent condition. It comes complete with its original box. Frankly, the original box is much, much harder to find than the toy. This box is in rough shape with tears, missing pieces, perforations in the lid from the prop ends and inside tape repairs. If ebay allowed more photos, I would have shown more of the box. More photos can be sent if you ask a question....
