This is a wonderful antique darning or mending sampler, showing various darning techniques, stitched with light blue cotton thread on stiff cloth.
The sampler is Dutch and dates from circa 1900. It is signed 'K. Vink'. I have other samplers in my store made by the same girl.
It measures approximately 12 1/4 x 10 1/2 inches or 31 x 26.5 cm.The sampler is in good condition, considering its age. The cloth has some spots on it.
