Large vintage German-made VEDES (Doll & Co) horizontal model steam engine Dampfmaschine. Model 348/6 and made in the 1930s. Approx measurements: height 43.5 cm, boiler diameter 7 cm, flywheel diameter 9.5 cm, base 32 cm x 29 cm.
Runs very well with no problems. Sight glass and boiler are tight with no leaks.
Original and in excellent condition. Boiler in excellent condition. Paint on base has age damage but is well affixed and not flaking off. Pin stripping on the flywheel is... in good condition. Lovely and rarely seen yellow pinstripping on black base. Chimney is blue on black. See photos as they are part of the sale description.
Includes original burner, weighted safety relief valve, inline oiler with valve, water level sight glass, steam supply valve, water dump/outlet valve, manometer (not functioning), regulator. All valves work well.
Nice example of vintage toy craftsmanship.
