Click images to enlarge Description This MAGNIFICENT satin pinwheel/crazy quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with de...nse hand embroidered accents and initials "MJW" and date "1957" in one block.
It measures 74" X 86" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots (hard to find) and no wear.
There is quilting around the pinwheel pieces and in straight line designs in the border, all at 5-6 stitches to the inch.
The back is a shiny pink satin fabric, the hand stitched binding is burgundy, and the batting -- if any -- is very thin.
The AMAZING EMBROIDERY and SUPERB CONDITION make this vintage COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out -- it would make a terrific wall hanging!
