Here's a massive piece of original German WWII aircraft skin. Measuring 35 by 21 inches this is a radiator flap with original paint on the inside and a recreation of the Tatzelworm nose art from a Bf-109E4 JG-3 Stab aircraft used by Pilot Hans-von-Hahn circa 1940 in France (pictured). The inside of the panel still retains grease, oil and likely glycol stains, while the outside has the autographs of two Luftwaffe pilots - Jorg Czypionka (pictured... signing the panel) and Kurt Schulze. This was signed when the two were living near each other in Southern California. Lt. Czypionka flew both Bf-109s and Me-262 fighters and is credited with two jet victories including a Mosquito kill while flying with 10./NJG-11. Schulze of III./JG-5 also flew Bf-109s and is credited with three victories. There is extensive information about both pilots available on the Internet. Signed Luftwaffe artwork easily sell for more than the listing price of this auction, and that artwork consists of prints on modern paper. This piece was done on original WWII aircraft skin that still retains it's original paint on one side.
