Hard to find1950's/1960's advertisement bar sign. Wood

The back is stamped in black "CraftedBy Kay Inc., New York 17, N. Y., Made In U. S. A.".
The stickeron the back reads :
"This American Federal Mirror RheingoldDisplay Is The Property Of Liebmann Breweries, Inc. It Is Loaned ToYou With The Understanding That It Will Be Conspicuously Displayed AtOr In The Immediate Vicinity Of Your... Back Bar Or Window And That ItMay Be Returned To Our Accredited Representative Upon Request".
I bought it not realizing the message on the back - Since this company is out of business
- I would assume no one will be coming to look for this
(- along with any other sign that has been sold for this company.)
From the hardware on its reverse and message, it originally had another attachment to it such as a mirror. Turns out it it missing an eagle.
Heavy wood sign with great colors anddetails.
This beer sign is great for the garage, game room, bar or mancave. T This 16" round by x 1" thick beer signdisplays beautifully. It is in good condition for its' age with some very minor wear
- crack and missing paint ( as others this age )Please see pictures.
A wonderful person gave me some information: on the history on Rheingold- this is only partially correct. In the mid 70's, they were taken over by Pepsi Co for their bottling companies theyowned. They sold the assets to Chock full of nuts after gutting thecompany. I was a brewer for them and saw first hand what happened. Asfor your sign, an Eagle sat on top of the sign. I try to find out information on the web about my items but since I can not know everything - sometimes the information may not be completely correct as this one is.
History
Rheingold Beer, introduced in 1883, is a New York beer that held 35 percent of thestate's beer market from 1950 to 1960. The company was sold by thefounding German AmericanLiebmannfamily in 1963. According to the New York Times, "Rheingold Beer was once a top New York brew guzzled regularlyby a loyal cadre of workingmen who would just as soon have eatennails as drink another beer maker's suds." Its VP-Technical Joseph Owades claims credit for Rheingold's developing the first light beer.Rheingold shut down operations in1976, when they were unable to compete with the large nationalbreweries, as corporate consolidation and the rise of nationalbreweries led to the demise of dozens of regional breweries.The label was revived in 1998 byTerry Liebmann and partner Mike Mitaro. The beer's evocative name isan allusion to Germany'sgreat riverRhine as well as RichardWagner's opera Das Rheingold
