MATERIAL : Blue-and-white porcelain of Karatsu-yaki of KIHARA-GAMA kilnKARATSU-yaki is the pottery made in Hizen area, Japan. Hizen area is current Saga Prefecture. Its origin is a late 16th century. At the time, potters of Karatsu learned the technique from the Koreans. Therefore the many Karatsu techniques are similar to the Korean pottery. In the tea bowl, it is one of the pottery that tea masters are most loving.
