Porcelainblue monochrome vase ormolou mounted, 18th or 19th Century This is ablue monochrome vase. The blue is of particular purplish dark type, like the socalled Mohammedan blue. I do notknow the origin of the vase, if Chinese or European. If European, most probablyFrench I suppose. I have not been able ofremoving the ormolou metal assembly being afraid of damaging the vase, so ithas not been possible to inspect the foot for determiningthe nature of the vase with more precision. ...What I can say is that I have neverseen an European porcelain with thistype of purplish dark blue, very similar to the Mohammedan blue, but I am notexpert on European porcelain. Thepotting is thin. There is a nice elegant paler blue circle around the base ofthe neck. One picture is showing the inside of the vase, where you can see the rusted fixing of the bolt at the base, plus one of thetwo ones that are at the sides. Not laterthan 19th century because of the ormolou mounting. The lastpicture is showing the other items that I am selling this week.Guaranteedas described. SIZE: Theporcelain vase is about 29 cm high, the total height is 33 cm. CONDITIONS:The vase is in excellent conditions, except for a thin hole on the base plustwo similar holes on the lower part of the bellyfor fixing the ormolou. No cracks, no hairlines.
