Abbot's Improved Liquid Appear-Wand passes thru can-Liquid Appears in Glass

ITEM: ... (UPDATED INFORMATION) When first put on, this was believed to be a U.F. Grant effect called Liquid Appear. A fellow magic collector has identified this as an Abbott item, called IMPROVED LIQUID APPEAR. The second image is the ad from the 1969 Abbott catalog.
The lid is taken off a metal can and a wand is dropped thru the can and it comes out the bottom. It passed thru so can appears empty. A plain glass is shown and dropped into the can. The lid is put on. When the lid is removed, the glass is now full of liquid. For kid shows, call it a Cow in a Can. Drop wand thru, drop glass in, put on lid and have the kids say , "Mooo!". When lid comes off, glass is full of milk.
There are no instructions. The following explains how to use this. The gimmick is a plastic sleeve that fits over the glass. A tube runs down the center. The can has a large hole in the bottom so when the gimmick, half full of milk is in the can, you can drop your wand thru the can and it passed thru. The glass is a bottomless glass so when put in the can, the milk is pushed up into the glass. The gimmick has been tested and has no leaks.
INFORMATION ON PERFORMING THE SECOND WAY TO USE THIS PROP (Silk first, liquid second):Have two silk handkerchiefs. To begin, secretly tuck one into the tube in the center of the gimmick. Add liquid to the outer area and place in can. Have the duplicate silk in the bottomless glass, being careful that it does not stick out the bottom of the glass. Take out the silk and drop the glass into the can and put on the lid. Vanish this duplicate silk with any method the you prefer. Open the lid and reach in to remove the silk from the center tube. Now remove the glass and it is full of liquid.
