Description
A probably Meiji period Japanese tonkotsu (medicine or tobacco) box in a woven box and cover, one side painted with flowers. The piece is held together with string on which is a beautifully carved ojime in the form of a ram and carved wood netsuke of a frog on a seed pod. All in a ll a lovely piece probably dating around 1900. Lovely collector's piece. Condition: Wear to box painting and small losses.
The box is 9 cm high (approx 3¼"). Ojime 1.8 cm, Netsuke 3.6 cm.Bidders in China and Asia please note that items with a final value in excess of £100 will be sent by courier, not Royal Mail, to ensure fully tracked delivery.

Please state the reason for your return. We can also refund your return postage costs if the item proves to be significantly different from the listing description. Returned items MUST BE MARKED 'SALE RETURN' to avoid significant customs charges and arrive back to us with original packing materials, in the same condition as at auction end.
