Gizmo Glass-Abbott's Magic Co-Small wine glass has wine appear & disappear--

ITEM: ...This is the Gizmo Glass, put out by Abbott's Magic Co., Colon MI.
Effect: The performer holds and displays and empty wine glass. It is positively empty. By simply passing his hand over the glass it is seen to become filled with wine, cola, ginger ale, etc. not imitations, the real thing!The liquid seems to materialize out of the air. The performer raises the glass to his lips and apparently drinks the contents of the glass. He even turns the glass upside down, positively proving that not one drop remains in the glass. A member of the audience now drapes a borrowed handkerchief over the glass. The magician counts to three and then removes the hank. To everyone?s amazement – the glass is filled once again with liquid.Positively only one glass is used! One hand is formed into a fist and the contents of the glass are poured into this fist. The spectators will swear this is the case – yet when the hand is opened it is empty, or you can show that the liquid has changed into a silk handkerchief!Remember, no double walled glass and no celluloid inserts are used. What the audience sees is just an ordinary looking crystal-clear wine glass. A puff of smoke is blown in the direction of the wine glass and quicker than an eye wink, the glass is filled with your favorite drink. The drink is real – no chemicals are used.The original rubber bulb was missing. A new one was bought and put in place on the glass. There are no instructions. If you go on line, at the Abbott website, you can order a set of the instructions. The cost is $4.00 but your total order has to be $20.00, so you can order other items that you need.
Brief Instructions:
These were hand blown for Abbott's. There is a small projection on the side of the glass, just below the bottom of the glass, where the stem connects to the bowl. A clear channel exists through the stem into the bottom of the bowl. Add your colored liquid to the glass and press the bulb. Air will bubble up thru the liquid. Let go of the bulb and the liquid will be sucked into the bulb. Repeat this a few times until no more air bubbles up. The bulb is now filled with the colored liquid, and no air. Pour out any liquid left in the bowl. Of you can leave it in the bowl as you begin. You can pour it out into another glass, or actually drink it. Hold the glass in your hand, thumb and other fingers on opposite sides, and the bulb hidden in your hand. Secretly squeeze the bulb and the glass fills. Pretend to drink it as you release pressure on the bulb. Cover it briefly with a silk and squeeze the bulb. Remove the silk and the liquid has reappeared.
DATE: Circa 1946 which I believe it was first made by Abbott.
SIZE: Glass is 5 3/8 inches tall, by 1 3/8 inches in diameter at the top of the glass.
COND: All in otherwise very Fine, almost Mint condition. Please view the attached image to see the quality of this fine item.
