Beautiful 19th C. Chinese Silk Embroidery
Description:This beautiful 19th century Chinese silk embroidery has a burnt orange silk background colorwith vignettes of bouquets of Chinese peonies and leaves in pale pink various tones of off white, pale blue in dark blue leaves.There are also butterflies, vases with flowers and sprigs of flowers all in various tones of blue, pink, white and plum. Condition:Fair. FRAGILE ! Medium silk weight This beautiful fabric is definitely not for sewing !There are sun/fade marks and streaks throughout also many breaks and tears in the fabricBut still beautiful for framing or to use the beautiful embroidery in other ways !
