This is an antique 1903 sterling silver big souvenir spoon from beautiful Catalina Island, off the coast of Southern California, near San Diego and Los Angeles.
The handle shows a fish and seashells on the front and more fish, shells and coral on the back.
The bowl is hand-engraved with an Avalon Bay scene and "Catalina Isl., Cal."
Length: About 5-1/2" long.
Maker's marks: "Sterling" with CB&H, Codding Bros. and Heilborn hallmark, an ...American company.
Weight: It weighs about 18.5 grams.
Engraving: In the bowl, "1903" on the back, and initials on the front of the handle.
